Early access
Let your coding agent run the Android app it just wrote.
On the web, an agent can open a browser and check its own work. On Android it is blind: someone has to start the emulator, install the build and describe the screen. APKBox does that part, so the agent can see and operate the app through MCP.
// tools exposed over MCP
runtime_start runtime_health
install_apk launch_app
screenshot_app_only
get_ui_tree tap swipe
type_text press_key
get_logs wait_for_idle
Starts the emulator for you
apkbox doctor checks your machine and tells you exactly what is missing. apkbox up boots a trimmed Android runtime with no manual steps, and problems are reported with a suggested fix instead of a stack trace.
Shows only your app
apkbox run app.apk installs and opens the APK in its own window, without the launcher around it. You watch the same screen the agent sees.
Understands what is on screen
Taps, screenshots and logs work for any APK. For Flutter apps the agent also gets the widget tree and hot reload through the Dart VM Service.
Requirements
- Linux or Windows. macOS support is planned.
- Your own Android SDK. APKBox uses it rather than shipping one.
- Any agent that speaks MCP.
